TIME: 11:00 – 11:30 AM

When times are tough, LEAN ON GOD. God is always there.
Dear Heavenly Father,
There are so many troubles to wear us down,
yet we know you are there to lean on.
Guide us as we tackle one issue after another
with the confidence that you are in charge.
Let us help one another, too, so we can lean on one another. Amen

SUNDAY WORSHIP ONLINE: MAY 24, 2020 AT 11:00 – 11:30 AM
Dear friends,

We feel blessed to be able to congregate with you all online each Sunday morning. As we continue to weather out COVID-19, may we be reminded that through this adversity, we are constantly being led, guided and protected by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. May we find strength and hope in being a blessing to others, as we continue to serve His purpose.
We invite you to join us tomorrow for our Sunday morning worship service online. At 10:30am, you can join in for a short hymn sing and fellowship. We will also use this time to ensure you are properly connected, before we begin our service at 11:00 a.m. Please state your name at the beginning of logging in. We encourage you to forward this email to friends and family who may want to join our online service. The login information is updated each week.

We look forward to seeing you all online.

We would like to thank everyone for joining us each Sunday for our worship services online during these unprecedented times. Over the past few weeks, we have been in communication with other congregations to discuss best practices while conducting services virtually. We understand that there have been instances where online services have been taken over by unknown participants. To ensure our services continue to be a safe, open and inviting space for anyone who would like to participate, we conduct the following:

  • Have a moderator ensuring our services run smoothly
  • Ask everyone to state their name upon logging in. If you have invited a guest, please introduce them at the beginning of the meeting.
  • Continue to provide the login information each week by e-mail/phone. If you, or someone you know, would like to join the distribution list, please click here or contact Rev. Ann Stainton at 416-433-7997.

In the case where we have to promptly close the conference line, we appreciate your understanding and will follow up with a communication, which can be found in the News section of the Hillcrest website: https://hillcrestdisciples.ca/news/. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with our Ministerial Team at hillcrest@bellnet.ca or 416-433-7997.

Thank you again for your support and we continue to be grateful for your dedication in congregating each Sunday online.

The Ontario Assembly of the Christian Church (OACC) (Disciples of Christ) Executive had made the difficult decision to close the camp for this camping season. The Ontario Government made an announcement that all overnight camps in Ontario are closed for this 2020 season also. The OACC Executive felt this was the right action to respect the local, provincial and federal government mandates for physical distancing to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
