EMERGENCY CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
An emergency congregational meeting will be held on Sunday, September 6, immediately following the worship service. Please be prepared to stay online after the worship service. In order to prepare for the meeting, everyone is encouraged to read the following document: “Toronto Public Health Covid19 Guidance for Re-Opening Places of Worship.”
INDIGENOUS LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We acknowledge the land we are standing on today is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaty signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

ONLINE WORSHIP SERVICE BEST PRACTICES
We would like to thank everyone for joining us each Sunday for our worship services online during these unprecedented times. Over the past few weeks, we have been in communication with other congregations to discuss best practices while conducting services virtually. We understand that there have been instances where online services have been taken over by unknown participants. To ensure our services continue to be a safe, open and inviting space for anyone who would like to participate, we conduct the following:
Have a moderator ensuring our services run smoothly
1. Ask everyone to state their name upon logging in. If you have invited a guest, please introduce them at the beginning of the meeting.
2. Continue to provide the login information each week by e-mail/phone. If you, or someone you know, would like to join the distribution list, please click here or contact Rev. Ann Stainton at 416-433-7997.
In the case where we have to promptly close the conference line, we appreciate your understanding and will follow up with a communication, which can be found in the News section of the Hillcrest website: https://hillcrestdisciples.ca/news/. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with our Ministerial Team at email@example.com or 416-433-7997.
Thank you again for your support and we continue to be grateful for your dedication in congregating each Sunday online.
