CONGREGATIONAL MEETING After the worship service on Sunday, October 11, there will be a congregational meeting to provide you final updates of our historic three (3) year Capital Campaign. And also, discuss the next steps toward the completion of our church renovation project. |
2021 GENERAL ASSEMBLY CANCELLATION The General Board of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada voted to cancel the 2021 General Assembly originally scheduled for July 31-Aug. 4, 2021, in Louisville, KY. This was not a decision that was made lightly. After many weeks of prayer, investigation and long discussion, it became obvious to us that we needed to act in the best interests of the Church going forward. The COVID-19 pandemic has made travel and large gatherings ill-advised until the situation becomes more stable. |
INDIGENOUS LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT We acknowledge the land we are standing on today is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaty signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. |
